Baby S. Gender Reveal

YAY! I am so excited to finally be able to share the big news on Baby S.

We found out the gender of our baby right at 20-weeks. Once 18-weeks hit, I became super curious and anxious to find out what we were having.

During the 1st trimester, I thought it could possibly be a boy. Since I didn't have a ton of symptoms (no morning sickness, etc.) I didn't have anything to base this off of. But then once we got further into the 2nd trimester, I was leaning more toward it being a girl. Either way, we both kept saying that as long the baby was healthy, we didn't care.

Well...Baby S. is a BOY. A little boy! Eek.

We had a photo shoot plan for the announcement, but then it snowed and was FREEZING - so opted for a regular photo indoors. Oh well!

When I was growing up (I'm the oldest of three), I ALWAYS wanted a big brother. I had two best friends with older brothers and was always so curious and envious of what their lives were like with a cool, older brother to protect and watch over them. I've also heard SO many times that little boys LOVE their mamas. So, I am really excited about a baby boy. And I think my husband is secretly really excited, too. He got really quiet when we found out at the sonogram, which is rare (he's a talker), so I know it was a big moment for him.

Now that we know the gender, we are starting to get things moving when it comes to the nursery and registry. Prior to finding out, I started to build out our registry based on popular/highly recommend baby items and a few clothes in shades of grey, cream, and white. I still am leaning toward a more neutral nursery and style for the baby boy, but will add in a few pops of blue (super light blue or navy) and cute toys that lean more boy.

That's it for now! I will try to share a few of our registry picks soon. We are preparing for several baby showers this spring/summer, so it will start to feel REAL very soon.
