Holiday Gift Guide: New Baby

If you have a new baby or have friend/family member with one, it can be hard to know what to get them for the holiday - especially if they have everything they “need” from recent baby showers! I rounded up our favorite baby products that would make such great gifts for a new mom and her baby! These are products we own and have personally used.

  1. The softest sleepers: we tried so many sleepers and these have been a favorite since Ford was a newborn! They are made with a soft, organic material and have an easy zipper for diaper changes. Plus, they are so affordable! I love the neutral colors for either a boy or girl.

  2. Our favorite swaddle: this is a must for a new mama! Trying different swaddles helped us so much and sometimes it’s hard to know what will work best for baby until you test a few out. I would highly recommend this one!

  3. A little lovey: even though baby can’t use the lovey in bed right away, a lovey is a fun and special gift idea that they can play with and eventually use for comforting. I love this woodland creatures collection for either a boy or girl.

  4. The best bibs: I made the mistake of not registering for bibs, but they are so necessary! These muslin bibs are so cute and I love the different prints. They have two clasps, so baby can wear for several months, which I love.

  5. The iconic teether: if you haven’t heard of the ‘Sophie’ giraffe, it’s such a sweet gift for baby! Babies (including Ford) love this teether because it’s so soft, makes cute squeaks and has a comforting scent. This is Ford’s favorite teether toy and makes a great gift! I’ve bought this for so many friends and it’s always a hit.

  6. The holy grail baby care kit: even though these aren’t “fun” gifts, these products are so necessary! We’ve loved the entire FridaBaby line and these essentials often get forgotten about at baby showers because everyone wants to buy cute blankets and clothing. You just can’t go wrong with this kit.

  7. The cutest pacifier: Who knew pacifiers could be so cute? We bought so many brands for Ford to try and these happened to be the cutest and his most used! I think it’s because the entire Paci is so soft and even the handle can be used as a teether. He loves these and I love that they aren’t a total eyesore.

  8. Baby moccasin: not necessary, but so adorable. These are the only baby shoes Ford has worn, so far. They just add instant style to any outfit and work for boys or girls. I love these because they are soft and easy to get on and off.
