I get asked why I blog all the time. Even though I have a career that I love, I honestly decided to also invest time into blogging because it’s such a great creative outlet for me. Read more for the reasons why…
Read MoreOne lesson that motherhood has taught me is that I simply cannot do it all myself. We’ve all heard the phrase ‘it takes a village' but I never truly understood that until I became a mom. Everyday, I am learning to enjoy letting go more and more in order to be the best mom, wife and business owner I can be. Here are a few things I committed to saying ‘no’ to this year to cherish my first year of motherhood.
Read MoreI am SO excited to celebrate Easter with Ford this year. Even though he won’t remember it, I want to start our family traditions now. I decided to plan our Easter Basket for Ford early knowing that stores often get cleared of inventory quickly. I went into my Target with a goal to not spend more than $60 and to stick to items that Ford really needs. I would call myself a ‘minimalist mama’ and don’t like having lots of stuff, so really was trying to avoid buying anything that he wouldn’t need, want or use.
Read MoreThe last month has been one of the most challenging, but also so fun. After dealing with an entire month of sickness and then teething, we are so thankful that Ford is finally back to his playful self. Here are a few updates on Ford.
Read MoreIt’s fun to switch up my look by trying new denim styles and I am loving all of the different styles this season. After several years of sticking to skinny jeans, I decided to add a few different looks to my rotation including a pair of high-waist “mom jeans”, the flare crop and distressed straight leg denim.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I hosted a Coffee Meet-up last month…it was so fun to get together with women, many of which are moms, and chat about life, business and chasing after passion projects. That meet-up was so inspiring, I have decided to attempt to host a new networking event each month with a specific theme. Since I love connecting with moms on social media, I thought it would be fun to take our conversations offline for this month’s meet-up!
Read MoreI am still on cloud nine from the incredible workshop I was able to host earlier this month. We had such an amazing group of women brought together for positive energy and inspiring conversations. I wanted to share an overview of the event and some of the top takeaways I had for anyone that wasn’t able to attend! We are in the planning process for the next workshop and if you’re in Kansas City, would love to see you there!
Read MoreMamas, if you haven’t had a night away from your baby (ever) or if it’s been awhile, it’s time to plan a staycation. It is such a special treat. Read MoreI thought it would be fun to share a rundown of my typical day since I receive a lot of questions on how I balance running a business, blog and being a mom. My schedule is constantly changing, but I like to try and be consistent with how I focus my time and energy each day. This helps me to maximize the limited time I have to work/blog and be a mom. Here is a look at how I schedule out my week and what a typically day looks like.
Read MoreIt’s hard to believe that I am entering a new decade. But I think I am really excited about what my thirties will bring. My 20s were a rollercoaster. So much change and unknown’s. I really feel like I discovered who I was in my twenties, but also had to go through a lot of emotional experiences and big changes to get to where I am.
I am excited to enter this new season of my life and thought it would be fun to recap my twenties before closing that chapter and to share what I am most looking forward to as a 30-something.
Read MoreIt’s been awhile since I have shared my weekly update and that is because things have been a bit crazy around here! Here are the five random things on my mind lately…from my favorite coffee mug to newborn essentials and more!
Read MoreIt feels so weird to say that. Part of me feels like he was just born, but I also feel like he’s been a part of my life forever. It’s weird how time flies when your family grows and how different everything is. I honestly struggle to remember what life was like without this sweet boy. I mean, I definitely miss the days of sleeping in, but overall can’t complain. He has changed my life for the better in so many ways. Here are a few updates on Ford.
Read MoreI thought it would be fun to share a non-traditional gift guide of the things a mom (like, me) actually wants for Valentine’s Day. trust me, no cheesy lingerie or heart box of chocolates included!
