Weekly Habits for Better Days
I’m not going to lie, I’ve had really good days where I feel confident, productive and in control and some where I can barely get from the bed to the couch. It’s okay. But what I have learned through this time of quarantine is that it’s my daily (and weekly habits) that will help give me a sense of normalcy and make me feel better.
As a mom (and business owner) I have to be strong. I have to lead my team and take care of my son and everything in-between. So, while the hard days are hard and sometimes you have to let them happen - I need to find the things that make me feel good and help me keep going everyday.
I’ve been working on the following daily habits (trust me, this doesn’t always happen)
Wake up at the same time (between 6:00 a.m. - 6:20 a.m. is ideal for me)
Make the bed
Have a delicious coffee
Write down 3 goals for the day + 3 things I MUST do
Ask myself what I need to do to feel good that day (i.e. meditate, be outside, write)
Move my body (30-minute run outside or quick YouTube workout while Ford plays)
Tidy the house (I am learning to love cleaning up daily)
Spend at least 30-minutes of phone-free time with my son
Remind myself that no mater what, I am doing a good job
