Valentine’s Day Gift Box
I dropped the ball on teacher gifts for Ford’s school this holiday and felt SO bad. I really meant to give gifts, but life and work was so hectic I couldn’t pull anything together.
So, I decided to put my energy toward fun gifts for teachers on the less exciting holidays.
Especially the ones that fall during the hard times during the year when you really need extra pampering, like Valentine’s Day!
Since Ford has many teachers in-and-out of his room at daycare all week I wanted to create a gift that would give something for everyone. Enter: the big gift box! I loved the idea of filling a cute box with a variety of gifts in hopes that each teacher could find at least one thing they loved!
When I started searching for cards to include, I stumbled upon CardFool, which is a local company!
CardFool creates cute and witty cards for everyone and have customizable options! I had a card made with Ford’s photo while playing with bubbles and the word ‘Epic.’ It’s definitely going to his grandma and I know she will love it! I’m planning to have Ford sign the cards himself for a personal touch.
For the gift box, I went to Target and TJ Maxx to see what I could find while somewhat sticking to a budget. I found really cute bath bombs and stationary at Target’s dollar section for $3-$5. At TJ Maxx, I got mini candles for $3-4 and fun face masks. I threw in chocolates, mints and tea bags in a variety of flavors. I went with soothing and relaxing scents and flavors!
These teachers work SO hard and deserve a little pampering.
I hope these teachers love this gift as much as I did putting it together! Once Ford is older, I’ll bring him along to pick out the gifts and we can make it a fun tradition.
